An Emerging Risk Factor For Pregnancy

Periodontal diseases are emerging as a new risk factor for premature birth and low birth weight. In fact, periodontal disease may have just as much of an impact on these complications as smoking, alcohol and drug use.

There is evidence to support that periodontal disease in pregnant women is an independent risk factor that may be controlled with products like CloSYS.

CloSYS is safe to use for pregnant women, or for those women who may be considering pregnancy. Suggested treatment: use CloSYS in the morning and at night. Floss or irrigate once daily. Brush for 2 minutes with CloSYS toothpaste and finish your dental hygiene care with a 1/2 ounce, 30 second swish of CloSYS oral rinse. For best results do not rinse the mouth after brushing with water. Rinse with CloSYS immediately after brushing.
