The Irritation Of Canker Sores

The exact cause of canker sores is unknown, but one possible cause is chemical irritants like the sulfates (foaming agents) used in most toothpastes. The most common is Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which creates the foaming action generated when brushing. Sulfates can be found in both toothpaste and mouth rinses.

To eliminate the irritation in your oral care routine, use a soft bristled brush, floss gently, and switch to CloSYS Sulfate-Free Fluoride Toothpaste and Alcohol-Free Oral Health Rinse.
